Opening Ceremonies

Keep the light of achievements and successes alive with the concept of “Night of the Stars“.

In the visual world of the concept, the red of our flag met with the symbol of the first place, golden tones. In order to keep the dynamism of sports and the pluralistic spirit of the Olympics alive, we used 13 moving LED screens of different sizes. The first striking moment of the night was the rise of the LED screens, which took on the image of the Turkish flag, with the singing of the Turkish National Anthem. During the opening show, which started afterward, the screens accompanied the choreography with the movements of the dancers on the stage. While each screen presented a different content, it simultaneously told a single story as a whole. We used different disciplines together while bringing this rich content to the stage: the main visual of the project was figured out as motion design, a concept-specific identity animation was worked out for each branch and each athlete, we made green-box shots with the athletes of the branches we won medals and we edited the shoots with concept-specific animations. Then, we watched the Tokyo competitions and medal ceremonies of our country over and over again, we tweezed the most special frames that will make us feel the emotions of sports and the Olympic spirit such as sadness, joy, pride, honor, and enthusiasm, determination, courage, fairness… And collaged them with the great achievements of our Olympic history. We are extremely happy and proud to create the visual world and opening ceremony of such a project.
